Ian Cooke, Edward Watkins and Jonathan Crowther

Our Ledbury Office team has been strengthened by the arrival of Edward Watkins and his team.

Previously trading as Edward Watkins & Co the client base is very similar with a mix of local businesses, farming clients and personal tax work.

Edward becomes a Consultant with Crowthers and will ensure a smooth transition of the client work takes place. Ian Cooke will oversee the business clients and Jonathan Crowther will lead the farming work.

Have a look in our “eNews and Resources” tab. Our resource centre has been expanded to include all sorts of tax information, calculators, downloadable forms and news feeds. We are also developing a new client zone to access more tailored advice.

You will see that we have also updated our website with some bright new team photo’s that were arranged by Claire Perkins.  The photos were taken at the Perfect Image Studio in Evesham.

Claire (who is also an excellent model!) has also set up our first ever Facebook entry which can be found under Crowthers Chartered Accountants and so please join us there.  Our Facebook image is supposed to represent us as a friendly but professional firm of Chartered Accountants.

Cooking the books?

Our Autumn team event was a fabulous evening at Eckington Manor Cookery School.

We were given the challenge of a ‘cook off’ after being divided into two teams.  Our task was to make a sauce to go with marinated pear filled with stilton mousse.  After a rocky start with Richard Beard cutting his finger on a cheese grater, both teams succeeded in presenting their dishes and mainly due to Emma’s artistic skills, her team were announced the winners.

Luckily Paul the professional chef took over the preparation of the rest of our meal and we enjoyed a delightful sit down dinner with Roasted loin of Eckington Lamb and Gooey chocolate fondant pudding.

Isaacs’ our Ledbury Winner

We are pleased to announce that our Charity competitions linked to the Football World Cup raised a total of £480 for local Charities.

Both of our offices were involved and a huge thank you to all of the local businesses that took part.

Tony Aston our Pershore Winner

The lucky winners of the competition who chose Spain to win the World Cup were Isaacs’ in Ledbury and Tony Aston from the Pershore Gallery and Framing Workshop.

They are both pictured here receiving their winners champagne and congratulations.
