Our Autumn team event was a fabulous evening at Eckington Manor Cookery School.
We were given the challenge of a ‘cook off’ after being divided into two teams. Our task was to make a sauce to go with marinated pear filled with stilton mousse. After a rocky start with Richard Beard cutting his finger on a cheese grater, both teams succeeded in presenting their dishes and mainly due to Emma’s artistic skills, her team were announced the winners.
Luckily Paul the professional chef took over the preparation of the rest of our meal and we enjoyed a delightful sit down dinner with Roasted loin of Eckington Lamb and Gooey chocolate fondant pudding.
