We are delighted to announce that our Agricultural Manager, Sophie Howard, became a Director from 1 April 2014.
Sophie will be well known to many of our clients as she has been involved in the development of agricultural work, at both our offices in Pershore and Ledbury, for many years.
As well as being a specialist agricultural accountant, Sophie has a growing client list of diversified businesses and she prefers working out at clients premises, rather than being stuck at her desk.
Sophie was brought up on a family farm and attended Upton Primary School, Hanley Castle High School and then Worcester Sixth Form College.
At age 17 she was Chairperson of Upton Young Farmers Club and also held the position of Secretary and Treasurer.
She went to Reading University and studied Accounting and Management where she graduated with 2:1 honours in 2002.
She joined us straight from University in 2002 and trained as a Chartered Accountant, qualifying in 2006.
After qualifying she became our Agricultural Manager and has helped Jonathan Crowther to develop the firm as one of the very few specialist agricultural firms of accountants in the area. Her promotion to Director level is well deserved.
Going forward Sophie will continue to develop the agricultural client work but will also have a wider marketing role for the entire firm.
Living in Tewkesbury with her husband and 2 young children, Sophie still finds time for an active social life with many rural pursuits. She enjoys horse riding, watching horse racing, agricultural shows, country walks and, of course, shopping!
